Your property tax bill comes from three main authorities:
Taxes = Assessed Value × Millage Rate
You will typically get two bills per calendar year:
Additional bills (called interim bills) may be issued if your property’s assessed value changes during the year (e.g., home improvements, new construction, or reassessment). These are separate from the regular two bills and are billed as needed.
All tax bills are mailed out at the same time. By law, you are obligated to pay your property taxes even if you did not receive your bill. If you require a duplicate tax bill, a copy can be sent to you (either by e-mail or USPS) for a fee of $10. Please contact me by phone or e-mail.
