Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact me at soleburytaxcollector@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Your property tax bill comes from three main authorities:

  • Bucks County
  • Solebury Township
  • New Hope Solebury School District

Taxes = Assessed Value × Millage Rate

  • The assessed value is determined by the Bucks County Board of Assessments.
  • A millage rate (or “mill rate”) is the tax amount per $1,000 of assessed property value. For example, 1 mill = $1 tax per $1,000 of assessed value)

  • Bucks County (calendar year, Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2026): 29.65
  • Solebury Township (calendar year, Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2026):  25.9102
  • New Hope Solebury School District (fiscal year, July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027): 127.97

You will typically get two bills per calendar year:

  • County & Municipal Taxes – mailed early March
  • School District Taxes – mailed early July

Additional bills (called interim bills) may be issued if your property’s assessed value changes during the year (e.g., home improvements, new construction, or reassessment). These are separate from the regular two bills and are billed as needed.

All tax bills are mailed out at the same time. By law, you are obligated to pay your property taxes even if you did not receive your bill. If you require a duplicate tax bill, please contact me by phone (267-614-2230) or e-mail (soleburytaxcollector@gmail.com) and I will send you another one.
